Lake Cumberland fishing report for June 20 2016. The water temp is in low 80's and summer patterns are in full swing. After a long tough spell striper fishing has been really good the last 2 weeks. Limits of fish have been caught pulling planer boards on the main lake from 10 to 40 ft deep. We have been fishing the main lake fairly close to the channel in open water. Some surface activity is starting but it's small and short lived. It's truly great to see limits of fish in the boat again with great quality fish.
Thread fin shad are still spawning so top water action for bass has been really good on points also. I've heard some good reports of crappie fishing also close to cover from 5 to 15 ft deep. It's going to be a great summer on the lake.
God bless
