  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

In years past the month of June has often been a tough month to consistently find and catch fish. Seems that the timeframe between the Springtime Slab bite when you can do no wrong and easy limits are the norm and the Summer pattern of scattered fish with the early AM Topwater bite is a time when the fish are difficult to figure out! Well.....not this June as we are just ending the BEST WEEK of catching you could ask for! I fished six days this week and had two days of 50 fish limits, two days of 75 fish limits and two days of 100 fish limits. Adam's four days of catching were equally good with limits on two trips and the other two were with families and really small Kiddos and still resulted in a box full of fish!

The fish have made the move to their Summer Pattern and we're seeing a little Surface Feeding most mornings and then catching the majority of our fish on Silver or Chartruse RSR Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ) off Points and Humps wayyyyyy up the Richland Creek. The fish are being caught in 15' feet of water or less most mornings and are normally very aggressive. On five of my six trips this week, we were back at the Marina and cleaning fish before 10AM. That's a LOT OF CATCHIN" in just a few hours!

Adam and I have plenty of Weekday openings in July and even a Saturday or two with a boat available. We're getting on the Lake early around 6:30AM, catching our fish and back at the Marina before it gets hot. The mornings are normally very pleasant with a South Wind that keeps us comfortable until late morning! If you want to get in on this Summertime Action on RC, give us a call and We'll Go Fishin'!
