Kentucky Lake has had some changes this week. With the water coming up 2 1/2 to 3 feet some of the fish have headed to the shallow cover. Anytime on this lake when the water rises there’s a part of the fish will head shallow, knowing the cover they have to move into too.
I have caught several good fish shallow the past couple days flipping a ZOOMs Baby Brush hog on a ½ ounce Pro Tungsten, 25lb test Seaguar Fluorocarbon on a Lews Rod and reel, flipping in the buck brush and flooded grass.
There’s still fish on the ledges also but like I said some have moved shallow. For these ledge fish I’ve still been catching them on ZOOMs Mag Ole Monster worms, and drop shoting ZOOMs Z3 Swamp Crawler. I’m looking for ledges that are on the main channel. Early in the mornings I am cranking some also with a Lucky Craft 3.5XD.and on windy days.
This is a great time of year to take my on the water ledge and electronics class
