Fishing has been really good this week and look for it to continue. I have been catching all of my fish fishing main lake ledges.
The fish have been spread out more which is typical for summer bass. I have been catching them anywhere from 12 to 18 foot depending on the day and time of day. Of course they are shallower earlier, then moving deeper as the sun continues to rise.
I’m still fishing ZOOMs Mag Ole Monster worms, on a ½ ounce Pro Tungsten red worm weight. I’m using a Lews 7’3 rod with 12 lb test Seaguar Flourocarbon line.
My other technique is drop shoting a ZOOM Z Drop worm in morning dawn and finesse worm in june bug. Here I’m using a Lews drop shot rod with a 1/3 ounce weight.
I’m fishing the drop shot and the worm really slow. If I work it to fast I can tell I’m not getting as many bites. The drop shot I’m fishing it more as the sun comes up.
This is a great time of year to take my on the water ledge and electronics class.
