LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN 3.8 FEET, CLEAR, 80’S

Bass fishing is fair. Shad Raps are catching small spotted bass and a few largemouth bass in the smaller cuts and coves. Fish both the balsa wood and RS Models early in the morning and then again late in the day. The shad color seems to be working the best with the clear green water. After the sun comes up, small grubs in root beer pepper green on a small lead head around boat docks and small finesse worms rigged Texas style are working on a few bass as well. Use the Carolina rigs in deep water during the late morning until afternoon on the drop offs and channel ledges. Submerged structure in 18 to 25 feet of water seems to be the key.
