JACKSON LAKE IS DOWN .61 FEET, CLEAR & 90’S

Bass fishing is slow. Bass are up very early with the full moon but after 9am, it gets tough. Spend the day on deep structure, deepest docks and blow downs. Early morning fishing is good throwing a buzz baits or Charger style bait. Deep running cranks baits and Carolina rigged plastics will be the all day baits. Before the sun gets up, stick to power fishing with small and large all black buzz baits. Covering water can be the key to success. Sammie’s or prop baits fished a little slower on and near wood or rock structure can work. Fish should strike on or after a pause. Focus on main lake rock, riprap and sea wall features. Fish main lake areas with some depth at or near the banks. When the sun gets up the spots and the largemouth are on the deeper rocky points, blow downs, boulders and humps. Mid day bass will be holding from 12 to 25 feet deep. Finding a crank bait bite can be fairly easy out on the deep structure like points and humps. The Bandit 300 in a natural color is a good choice. Pull up to the points and try your crank bait. Follow up with plastic and be willing to move on to the next point when the action dies. Use the Lowrance sonar and silt the screens to 200 kHz and 83 kHz on two panels. See more of the water column with 83kHz.
