Long day but a fun day indeed. I had the opportunity to take a gentleman from Ga. out for a day of fishing on the "Big-G" and just see if the changing of the weather would get these fish out of their hot weather slump that they have been in lately. The last several days have been just plain ole hot, muggy, and just boarder line "miserable", but with a nice cool north wind this morning the fish decided to eat and show my client a great time on the water. We focused mainly on swimming 3/8 oz. Choo Choo Lures jigs and 3/4 oz. Producer Swimbaits around deeper grass lines in 7-10 ft. of water. We were able to catch several solid fish and even got the opportunity for a "selfie double". The north wind has cooled the water down a few degrees and things should really start picking up and the fish should get more active as it cools down even more. Get out and have some fun. Mike Carter
