CLARKS HILL IS DOWN 9.4 FEET, 60’S

Bass fishing is fair. The lake is low so use caution. Cooler nights have the fish turned on. Shad and blue backs are very active right now and the bass are feeding heavily on them. Husky jerk baits are working very well in the creeks. Baby bass and the small Flukes are local favorites pearl colors this week. Secondary points in the larger creeks seem to still be a favorite among anglers. Start at the mouth and fishing the main lake points and working way back into the coves. Up the Rivers, take along a handful of Rattlin' Rapala’s in a variety of colors. Red fire crawdad for the stained water and chartreuse shiner for the slightly off color water. The 3/8 ounce size will catch more bass. This is the best time to take advantage of the Lowrance Down Scan technology and you can count the fish on the bottom. The 1/2 ounce size will catch you an occasional larger fish but not as many. Small Chunk Rock will be the key to fishing these baits. Look for the larger patches along the bank and even around the smaller islands.

SONAR TIPS: HOW TO USE TRAILS: Go to the TRAILS menu and name the trail for today’s date. Now pick a color trails for each day of the week.
