  • The Subtle One Knocker Zara Spook

There has probably never been more versatile top water bait made than the Zara Spook. It has always been the choice for catching big fish on top water and it has proven over the years that nothing seems more tempting to a big bass on a bright sunny day than fishing the Zara Spook. The top water bite can be just tons of fun, but over the years when you pull out a spook it adds another dimension to top water fishing, and now they have improved it once again.

Improvements have come in many forms for baits and as of late it’s sound, fishing has gone through many gyrations of noise from BB’s to noise- less and more. Bait companies have added another dimension to sound, that being the “one knocker.” The technology of sound started showing change a few years ago with the rattle bait where different manufactures made them for many years with BB’s in them then all of a sudden they went sound-less and then moved on to the “one knocker.” As this moved out to other baits we are now seeing all three of these noises to noise-less move to other baits and a Zara Spook is the latest in adopting this sound platform.

The results are just unbelievable, bass seem to have learned over time the good and the bad of sound and as attracts them it also deters them and a new sound like a one knocker coming from a top water bait is so far deadly. The subtle one knock, moving over them in a low light situation is just more than they can take, and big strikes with great results seem to be the norm. Slight subtle changes have made big differences over the years in fishing and this is just another successful move to give bass something a little different and deadly presentation.
