LAKE JACKSON IS DOWN 1.3 FEET, 50’s

Bass fishing is slow. As the cold weather blasts through, the bass feel the pressure and the water temperatures and this shut down their activity levels. The best time will be when we have had a couple of warm days in a row. Look for any rip rap rock that the sun has been shinning on as this area will be warmer by a degree or two and is bound to hold a few fish. Use small crank baits like a ¼ ounce Rat T Trap in chrome and black or a small Shad Rap in the silver color. Work your bait slow using 8 pound test Trilene line. If there are any docks near to the rock, work the dock area also spending time close to dock poles.
