WEISS LAKE IS AT 3 FEET 0 INCHES BELOW FULL POOL AND CLEAR AND 48 50 DEGREES

Bass fishing is fair and some fish have moved deeper on the creek ledges, on main lake points, sand bars and humps, on their winter pattern, a lot of Bass are staying shallow this year due to the warm winter, and they are being caught on jigs, shaky heads and drop shot rigs, Rat L Traps and shallow running crank baits, and Alabama rigs. The Spotted Bass are biting well in the upper Little river and Chattooga River.

Striper fishing is fair and they are being caught in the main Channels of Little River and the Chattooga River and the Coosa River, trolling live bait or umbrella rigs and jigs.

Crappie fishing is great and most fish are suspended in main Coosa River channel and Little River. The deeper fish in the Coosa channel are being caught spider rigging minnows 18 to 20 feet deep. Fish are suspended 10 to 14 feet deep in Little River and they can be caught long line trolling with Jiffy Jigs in 1/24th and 1/16 ounce in colors JJ13, JJ17, JJ20, JJ24, JJ25, and Marks blue and Sexy Bug. A float and fly technique and minnows under a float is also producing well.

We have over 50 of Marks proven GPS waypoints for off shore structure for Bass and Crappie fishing on Weiss Lake, Alabama. For more info contact Ken Sturdivant at ken@southernfishing.com.

On April 29, 2017 in Blue Ridge Georgia, the Blue Ridge Trout Fest will be there for their second year. Vendors, seminars and much more are planned. http://blueridgetroutfest.com/

Ken Sturdivant, Lowrance Pro Staff will teach two Free SONAR classes at the Cabela’s in Greenville, South Carolina, Saturday February 25, 2017 at 10 am and again at noon.

Lowrance down Scan technology can scan much wider areas with the narrow beams so anglers can see the bait, the structure and the fish four times better than with sonar. Find the bait and you will find the fish.

Ask for a free sonar set up sheet by sending me an email to ken@southernfishing.com. Please tell me what model machine you have.

Ken Sturdivant Lowrance Professional Fishing Staff will be conducting FREE Sonar Seminar at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in Lawrenceville Georgia on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 2pm. Seminar is subject to change without notice.

Our On the Water Schools are Rods Reels and Lures for Bass SONAR and we have a Striper school. Learn how to use the Lowrance Structure Scan and Down Scan technology. Call 770 889 2654 or see the details on our web site for more info and dates.fo
