LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL, CLEAR, 50’s

Bass fishing is good. Largemouth are feeding all during the day and the spots are roaming and they are hitting the crank baits. Fish Beaverdam Creek using a variety of Shad Raps. The largemouth are smaller weighing in the three to four pounds The spots are getting bigger and the most action has been coming on the south end of the lake near the dam. Crank baits and finesse worms are accounting for the majority of the bass. Start up the Savannah River then down to the 72 bridge and up in Beaverdam Creek. Stay in the wind and use the crank baits. Fish half way back in the creeks and then the secondary points. Bigger bass are going to be holding to the cover. Make several casts on both sides of any brush piles and wood. If the sun is out, crank the windblown side of the 72 bridge rip rap.
