  • Lake Guntersville Fishing Report - AL

The good times have continued on into the month of July the bass are still very active; I believe if we can keep these rainy afternoons the good times will continue. I also feel very strong that if we continue these rainy daily patterns that we will see a good old fashion early frog bite. The years where we have always seen the best frog bite has always been on these rain abundant summers where the wind and rain help keep the grass from getting so think that you canít fish it.

This past week we had several short 4 hr. days on the water but the four hour trips produced daily catches of 15 to 20 bass in 8 to 15 ft. of water. The Missile bait Ď48Ē stick bait got the numbers while Tight-Line swim jigs produced most of the size during our outings. There was also a top water bite with Picasso Lure buzz baits leading the way on catches, it wasnít everyday but when they were on it we had a blast. Persistence and patience paid off and if youíre on the water look for the keys like bait action and just hang in there and you will get bit. (Note: my report is second hand as I am not back on the water yet.)

No one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great time on the water. School is right around the corner, it makes for a great father and son time to go fishing and I have experienced guides available to fish with you. With my summertime $50 we can save you some money. Call me today letís get you set up to have some.

Just ask for our summer time $50 discount it is available on all my trips as long as you fish between now and the end of August.
