  • Lake Allatoona Fishing Report - GA

LAKE ALLATOONA IS FULL, 80’S, CLEAR

Bass fishing is good and deep is the way to go. Use a 3/8 ounce Spot Stalker with a Yamamoto black and blue Hula grub or Creature bait and fish any heavy cover you can find. The Jig is also another option for these fish. Just be sure you get into the heart of the lay down as they are hunkered in there pretty good. For the main lake a 3/16th Spot Stalker head tipped with an Aarons Magic or Margarita Mutilator Robo worm is working at the very end of the deep water points. Have a Zoom fluke on a Scrounger head and 3/8 ounce heads are perfect for this. Use a good fluorocarbon line and this line sinks fast so the baits get down to the fish. If there is any surface action from bass or hybrids a white Rooster Tail on 6 pound test will get them to bite?

This Allatoona line side report is bought to you by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service 770 827 6282 www.firstbiteguideservice.com

Line sides fishing is great. All the major creeks are holding fish from north to south. The key to catching these fish is fresh frisky bait. For the heat of the day, it's going to be hard to keep shad in good shape. Get them from Striper Soup. Catch a few small bream around the ramps. This may be the ticket for some of both stripers and hybrids. Just remember to catch them on a hook and a line. The down line bite is by far the best. There is some top water action mid lake but mostly white bass. Rooster tails in all white is the best.
