    Inshore fishing
Well once again this week has proven to be very challenging! Why? I know I sound like a broken record but the wind does too! Sent I am the offshore side of the company believe me it has been howling...and if you look at the extended forecast..what do you get? More windy conditions. So therefore, I have come to the reasoning behind this inshore fish catching suggestion. Since the winds have been so persistence for the last couple of weeks you and I both know that the fish have to eat sometime. And believe me when I say, “They haven’t waited to eat. And the secret to knowing what to do under these conditions is the key to catching!” The problem with all of this wind is that it immediately closes the door on a lot of fishing locations. Let’s face it when the wind is out of the east a lot of fishing spots can be reached due to the rough conditions. And it is true that the fish bite least when the wind blows from the east. However, back to what I said earlier...them fish got to eat sometimes! What do you do with this situation? Looks for fishing spot behind the east! What does this mean? Fishing spots that primarily face the west! Why? Because they are not as rough even through currents and winds there is still some clear water to be found! You just got to look, because the fish are doing the same thing!

The best inshore bait is going to be live shrimp. However, if you want to step outside the baiting up box I suggest small blue crabs, finger mullet, and peanut menhaden! How do you catch these baits? Get out the old cast net! The old mud minnow bait is the mud minnow and it is the hardiest of them all. How do I catch mud minnows? Get out the minnow trap! What do I put in the mud minnow trap? Some say, “McDonald’s hamburger” raw bacon, Vienna sausages, fish carcasses, saltines crackers, raw chicken and the list goes on and on! The bottom line to this inshore fishing report is just go and fish those areas you can get too! The bottom line is to be a current watcher and find that clear water, because it is there!

While inshore fishing with Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charters William Waters and Thomas Robinson both from Savannah, Georgia caught fought and released some pretty darn interesting fish. What did they catch? Trophy red fish of assorted sizes! All fish were released healthy and swimming strong to the east! Now this fish that Thomas is holding and soon to be released has an unusual array of arranged spots. Here’s my opinion on this fish’s spot design? All along with camouflaging on this particular fish’s mind it decided that small spots mostly likely would portray the presents of smaller fish. What was this fish’s theory in regarding to growing this particular spot arrangement? Well, it wanted all of these so called eyes to be from small fish meaning..no respectable porpoise is going to chase a mere mouthful of possible smaller fish. Now you know the rest of my story!
