Bass fishing is fair. Concentrate on the points and pockets in the grass and throw a lipless crank bait on fluorocarbon or light braid. Once you find an area with fish, then you can slow down with a Spro McStick suspending jerk bait. Any time of the day, use a Carolina Rigged 8" Finesse Worm by Big Bite Baits. With the lake full, there is a lot of real estate for the fish to move around. Add the massive amount of bait recently hatched, the bass can feed up anywhere. Some top water action has been good early, but it's about as reliable as the ledge bite. The crank bait bite is fair and a Red Eye Shad is hard to beat. Just cast and tick the grass. Get stuck, just jerk real hard and hold on. There is a ton of bait running around. Working Texas rigs in shallow cover ranging from 5 to 10 feet has been fair but dead stick the worm in the area.
