  • Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

Inspite of the recent weather changes in South Floriad the fishing inshore, offshore, in Flamingo and along the Tamiami Trail continues to result in bent fishing rods and big smiles. The best thing about living and guiding in South Florida is that we always have a place to fish regardless of the weather.

Let the pictures tell the story.

North Biscayne Bay has been producing steady catches of sea trout of all sizes. With the sea trout have been jack crevalles to 18 pounds, snook, tarpon, ladyfish, sharks, barracudas and snapper.

The offshore waters when the seas allow have produced plenty of kingfish, Spanish mackerel, barracudas, blackfin tuna and skip jack tuna, sailfish and dolphins.

South Bay has had some outstanding action from mutton, mangrove and yellowtail snappers. Gag, black and red groupers are being caught alogside of the snappers and an assortment of jacks, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, sharks and barracudas have added to the action.

Flamingo in Everglades National Park continues to get better with very good catches of snook, small tarpon, redfish, black drum, sheepshead, tripletail, sharks, ladyfish and jack crevalles.

Along the freshwater areas of the Tamiami Trail the snook fishing has been great.
All of these fish were caught using Daiwa and Shimano reels, Key Largo and Daiwa rods, Rapala hard plastics, Cajun Thunder floats, Hookup lure jig heads, Mustad hooks and Wish braided line, PLine monofilament, Aquatic Nutrition Inc, Chum.
If you're interested in any of these species and looking to get out on the water for 4, 6 or 8 hours then give me a call and let's see what we can do!
