Bass fishing is good. This is a good fall lake as the water can warm up a lot faster after a cold front.
Trick worms and a Senko fished between docks and even around each dock. Rip rap in Little River and Crooked Creek continues to hold fish that will hit crank baits, lightweight Texas rigs, jig head and worm, and possibly spinner baits. Do not forget the jig. Secondary points and flats are beginning to hold fish that are slowly moving into coves and creeks. Depths are mostly 6 to 15 feet. But don’t look for these fish to stay put very long on such spots. Crank baits like Norman DD14 & DD22, the #6 & #7 Fat Free Shads are good choices when the fish are active. Carolina rigs, jigs, jig head and worms are other good choices. Look at the many points and underwater islands with the Lowrance Structure Scan and Down Scan technology to find baitfish in these area before fishing. This will help narrow down where the fish are.
