LAKE OCONEE IS FULL, 60’S

Bass fishing is fair. The best bite has been early in the morning however the cooler temperatures over the next few days will make the bite slow. Use the small crank baits or spinnerbait fished right on the bank working your bait slowly back to the boat. Be sure that when you are fishing around docks, fish on the backside of the docks close to the shore. Once the sun gets up you might want to flip under the docks or blow downs using a Texas rig worm. A Zoom U tail in the watermelon or watermelon candy fished on 12 pound test line will bring a few bites. Be ready because the bites are far and few in between.

Crappie fishing is fair and the fish are moving into the shallow water as the water temperatures drop. Troll using jigs or jigs tipped with a minnow in the back of the creeks slowly working your way out till you find the fish. If the temperatures are up as they have been the past few days you may have to pull out to 10 to 15 foot of water.
