LAKE SINCLAIR IS DOWN 1.4 FEET, CLEAR, 60’S


Bass fishing varies on a daily basis, depending on the weather, current, moon phase and the fish. A lot will change over this week with the cold weather. Once the weather settlers the fishing will be better but expect the fish will move deeper so water temperatures will be critical. Find the warmer waters. Zoom Super Flukes are best early except for a couple days after each new cold front. Most fish are coming from any type cover in the coves and creeks. Don't waste much time in areas with little or no shad present. Grass can be the best cover on days when the lake is a foot or less below full pool. On a spinner bait use a trailer hook for a higher hook up percentage. If fish are still missing the bait, down size the bait or find a comeback lure. Try a small fluke, Rapala, weightless worms. Fish the lakes docks on the sunny banks early. On the docks, try a Zoom 6 inch Dead Ringer for more active fish. If the fish are inactive, use a finesse worm with an eight ounce weight and fish real slowly. Good colors for both are June bug, green pumpkin and red bug in clearer water.
