LAKE SINCLAIR IS DOWN 1.2 FEET, CLEAR, 60’S

We have another very cold weather front this week. Air temperatures are very cold and the fish will react to the weather by not feeding and relating the heavy structure with the very cold temperatures and high pressure. Any warm water you can find can have active bass. They still have to eat.

Bass is fair. Find the warmest water you can. Fish the many boat docks, brush, blow downs and stumps. The rip rap and rocky points will be better. It will be tough the next few days with the weather. Try a #4 Shad Rap RS in fire tiger, chrome blue, shad, and gold black for depths of 2 to 5 feet. Use a #5 Shad Rap RS in the same colors for depths of 3 to 7 feet. Norman Deep Baby and Deep Tiny N’s in the same basic colors. Use slow retrieves with occasional pauses. Rat L Traps in the ¼ ounce size are catching fish too. For the Carolina rig, try a Zoom Finesse worm in green pumpkin or June bug with a Gamakatsu 1/0 extra wide gap hook. A half ounce weight with a 2 foot leader works well in the shallow water. Bass will be using deep points and humps down the lake at 15 to 2o5 feet deep. The best baits are jigging spoons, Carolina rigs, jig and pigs and the Little George.
