Lake Lanier’s future will be discussed in four public hearings this month set in communities around the lake. The corps will hold its Gainesville presentation from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hall County Government Center, located at 2875 Browns Bridge Road. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will update the public on its work to revise the lake’s master plan a comprehensive tool that guides the Army Corps’ management of the lake. The update to the master plan includes a recreation capacity study, which will lay out the “current and future recreational needs and capacity” on the lake.
Meetings will include a briefing from the Army Corps.
