WEST POINT LAKE IS DOWN 4.6 FEET, STAINED & 50’S


Bass fishing is fair. The lake is up and the fish are too. Do not lot stained water keep you from casting the bright Spro crank baits and find the bait in the creeks. Sand and small rock hold a lot of heat so a few days of sunlight will get them shallow following the food. Down lake fish the main river channel with the Carolina rigs in 12 to 18 feet. The Texas rigged and Carolina rigged plastics especially Zoom lizards, in ten to fifteen feet of water is working. Both methods are excellent choices for catching Bass this week. A few bass are being more aggressive by attacking the banks and points with 1/2 ounce spinner baits and smaller crank baits. Keep a Pearl Zoom Super fluke with no weight rigged all day.


Based on the Fish and Gamer Forecaster, the middle morning is good and there is a very good to excellent midafternoon feeding period this weekend.
