Lake Cumberland fishing report for March 24,2018. The water temp is still hovering around 50 most places and the water on the main lake is murky. The water on the lower end of the lake up in the bigger creeks has cleared up for good fishing conditions.

Stripers are being caught pretty good most days pulling planer boards from the surface to 30 ft deep in the middle of the creeks. Several nice sized fish are being caught most dsys. Several short fish are being caught also so do all you can do to get them back in the water as easy as you can. That’s our future fish lol.

As soon as the water warms some the surface action will be super fun. No weight planer boards will be really fun to watch as the fish slams the shad on the surface then the planer board flies across the surface. I’ve seen it thousands of times but it never gets old! Lol

Bass fishing has been decent lately with nice catches being caught mid creek and even in the head of the creeks. Not heard much from crappie but they should be getting ready to move shallow water and think about spawning soon.
    God bless
