Bass fishing is good. Use all your favorite crank baits and be sure to throw the 1/2 ounce Rat L Traps in chrome and blue. Shallow points and humps are excellent. Pig and jig in crawdad colors will work around the rocks.

Stripers are fair. This is the first year that I have not seen the birds diving on the stripe. I have picked up a few in the mouth of Pine Cone and a few down the Slack land beach area trolling for crappie.

Crappie want to spawn. It will be cold this weekend. Start trolling Godfrey's Island and Dead Boy and Waterhouse. Crappie are shallow water and anglers are pulling a 1/32 heads 2.5 miles per hour. With the temperatures warming thought out next week, by the latter part of the week, things should be back to normal. Which means fishing a foot deep in 2 foot of water? Jigs or minnows, trolling or throwing a float. For you Trollers, short casts 1/32 ounce jig in blue and bubble gum. Most of the docks have brush around them.
