LAKE SINCLAIR IS DOWN 1.09 FEET, STAINED, 70íS

Bass fishing is good. One more cold front this weekend and then in 2 weeks a huge wave of fish will be shallow on the full moon. The creeks on the south end of the lake are a little clearer than the rest but the pockets and coves up the Oconee River arm are a little warmer. Bass are being caught on several baits (all shallow) from crankbaits to jigs and all types of Texas rigged plastics. Shoulder Bone and Crooked Creek would be excellent creeks to start, moving to the short pockets and coves off the Oconee River arm later in the day. Productive baits this week have been the Zoom floating worm (trick worm) fished on a two foot leader with a small finishing nail or split shot used for weight, and a Texas rigged Yum tube slowly bounced on the bottom. Better color choices have been green pumpkin and June bug. With the warmer water temps, try casting a bandit 200 or use a Bomber 4A on the spawning banks, and use a medium stop and go retrieve back to the boat.
