LAKE JACKSON IS DOWN 1.03 FEET OVER FULL, 70’S

Bass fishing is good. All the bass are staging in the creeks and rivers up and down lake. It has been a tough couple of weeks for the fish but they are still on the bank structure after the high winds this week. Cast anything you fish with around any structure no matter how small. Any wood, stumps and the docks all have bass around them. There are a few fish biting early everyday so use slow moving baits like jigs and worms. Wood and any of the stump rows on points in the creeks are holding pre spawn bass. The all black Bitsey Bug jigs in a 3/8 ounce size with a Paca Craw trailer and a Culprit green shad worm on a Texas rig will work. Be sure to work baits slowly into and around any dock on the lake. The #7 Shad Raps and 7A Bombers baits are good choices in the crawfish and pearl with the chartreuse backs will work. Up lake, use baby bass and shad patterns.
