Bass fishing is good. The fish are shallow buzz baits with small double blades and a white skirt early in the creeks up the rivers. Day fishing is fair on bright crank baits down lake on docks and ledges. Up the rivers go to the Bomber 7A in fire tiger on the banks. Cast the floating worms half way in the creeks and the off river coves. Berkley Power worms on a Texas rig in the small size is catching some bank runners. Night fishing has been fair on the docks in Richland creek and work the sea walls too. Use a large dark Culprit all night on a Texas rig. Flip the bait in the lights and be quiet around these docks both day and night. Night fishing around lighted docks with live bass minnows can be the way to beat the heat and catch a lot of fish. The new Lowrance FishReveal software for the Gen 3, Elite Ti and CARBON machines makes spotting the fish on the DOWN SCAN super easy. The software is free on the Lowrance web site.

Crappie are biting a little better and they are tight in the coves over stumps and manmade brush piles. Day fishing and night fishing has been good. At night put lots of light on the water. Live minnows account for almost all the fish and depths vary from 5 to 12 feet.

Make sure you stop by Sugar Creek Marina and pick up your spoons and all your tackle needs. You can also book your Crappie and striper trips with Reel Time Guide Service at 404 803 0741 or reeltime@bellsouth.net
