LAKE SINCLAIR IS DOWN 1.39 FEET, STAINED, 70’S

Bass fishing is fair. The fish are feeding but they are small. With the rising water temperatures are starting to have a negative effect on the top water pattern. A few fish can still be caught fishing a Zoom Horny Toad around isolated grass beds early each morning, but it doesn't last long. After the sun gets on the water your best bet is to fish main lake or main creek docks in three to six feet of water with a jig or Ole Monster worm using darker colors. Numbers of small keeper fish are being caught on main lake points with Carolina rigs and medium depth crankbaits going up the Oconee River. The deep crank bait bite will catch a few quality fish but a 1/2 football jig with a Zoom swimming chunk worked slowly will get more action. The new Lowrance FishReveal software for the Gen 3, Elite Ti and CARBON machines makes spotting the fish on the DOWN SCAN super easy. The software is free on the Lowrance web site.
