WEST POINT LAKE IS FULL, STAINED & 70’S


Bass fishing is fair. The bass are scattered and roaming. They are suspended in 12 to 14 feet of water over deeper water in the main body of the lake. The bass are chasing shad, and a good tip for catching them is to go up the Chattahoochee River and fish the deep clay points on the right side of the river with a Carolina rig or deep diving crank bait in a shad pattern. Look for the bass to soon settle in deep water on old road beds and pond dams. In Wehadkee Creek there are some smaller fish that can be fun to catch but will not measure. Up the river, use white and gold buzz baits and Pop R's if the sun is covered then go to Carolina rig no the main lake. Watch for floating debris up the river. Spotsticker jig heads with finesse worm is working all day o 10 pound test line. Remember, there are lots of spots in the lake too.
