LAKE SEMINOLE IS FULL, CLEAR & 80’S


Bass fishing is fair. Early morning fish grass beds on the main lake that are close to deep water. Throw buzz baits, prop baits or a 3” or 5" Big Bite Baits Top Toad in white. When the morning bite ends, work these same areas with a floating jerk bait such as a Smithwick Rattlin Rogue, Rapala Minnow, or Bomber Long A. Just like the top water bite this bite can be short lived. After the Sun gets high in the sky head up either river or look for cover to flip. The types of cover to flip can be grass, lily pads or hyacinths. The closer you find these areas to the river channel, the better they are. For the best flipping set up punching the mats use a heavy braid, a 1 ounce tungsten sinker, a 5/0 Gamakatsu hook. The best flipping bait is a Big Bite Baits 4" Dean Rojas Signature Series Fighting Frog in black and blue. Stick with this pattern for the rest of the day as long as the Sun stays out. With the cloud cover we have seen, go back to your top water grass beds and throw top water such as the frog.
