LAKE GEORGE IS 1.92 FEET OVER FULL, 80’S


Bass fishing is fair. The water is at full pool, keeping the fish scattered. All the cover on the banks are under water now, giving the bait fish more shallow water to hide in. Anglers need to move a little more to find the fish. Bass are biting early and late in the pads and grass near shore. Top water, frogs, spinnerbaits and buzz baits are working. Sink a fluke type bait under the surface when the top water action slows down. Just like ledge fishing locate the fish with the Lowrance Structure Scan technology and work that area. Do not be in a rush. Work it with several baits. When the bite slows down, work another bait. As the sun gets up and the heat starts to build move to the closest deeper water. The jig bite is good and use some baits with the craws and paint them with red dye and anything in the skirt with red and a trailer with red will do the trick. Texas rigs are a good bet as well.
