LAKE JACKSON IS 1.35 FEET OVER FULL, CLEAR, 80’S


Bass fishing is fair. Bass are shallow early and then they head out on the humps and river channels, but with all of that heat, they did move down to deeper water. Most of these bass can be found in twelve to sixteen feet of water. Use a 3/16 ounce Weedless Wonder head and fish all lures slowly and let them fall. Anglers are using the jerk baits and crank baits. The bass are suspended on the ledges and humps. Using baits like the Shad Raps fished with a straight retrieve and a Rapala DT6 crank bait will catch fish. Patience and a lot of casts to the same area will be a must while fishing. School is back in so the boating pressure will ease during the week and hopefully and it usually does, the fishing will start picking up by the end of the month. Lots of rain and cooler water temperatures will trigger the fish to start looking for bait. The Lowrance Structure Scan technology can unlock these bait schools locations fast.
