We experienced a little bit of everything in regard to weather and fishing this past week on RC! A nice Cool Front brought some pleasant early AM temperatures in the the 60's to start the mornings, but it also brought some Wind and a change in the fishing. We started the week on a good bite on Monday, couldn't fish due to the wind on Tuesday and still had a decent bite on Wednesday. We were averaging around 40 Keeper White Bass and a Hybrid Striper or two each outing. Then Thursday and Friday came and the bite slowed to almost a halt as we struggled to put 20 fish in the ice chest. The fishing was so slow we called our Saturday Customers, told them it was very tough fishing and said it was OK to cancel if they chose to do so. Thank goodness both Parties chose to still fish and we were rewarded with a good day as my Group had a full ice chest and limits of White Bass, and Adam's Group had over 60 Whites and a large Hybrid Striper! Guess I should learn after 60 plus years of fishing and 18 years in the Guide Business not to try and second guess a fish!!! Just Go Fishin' whenever you can and you will usually be rewarded!
Adam and I have Weekday openings in August/September and some Saturdays still open in September. We also have both boats still open on Monday, September 3rd (Labor Day). There's still time to get those Kiddos on the Lake before School starts. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!
