Fishbuster Charters' Captain Dave Hanson reported, "I fished Tuesday morning, 8/14, 18 miles west of New Pass with Mark Lenhart, his son, and two of his sonís friends. The group used squid to catch and box ten grunts, all measuring between 12 and 14 inches, and they released red grouper shorts."

1.) Angler Luke Stanford with a near-20-inch red grouper, one of several red grouper shorts caught on squid and cut-bait and released 23 miles west of New Pass on a recent offshore Fishbuster Charter. This one was only an 1/8 inch short of keeper size.

2.) An odd catch of a Mantis shrimp, released 22 miles west of New Pass on a recent Fishbuster Charter, and known among anglers as a "thumb-splitter" because these critters are so dangerous to handle. This one was especially large, but was released without injury to it or to the captain's thumb!
