  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

    Fishing Friends,

Last week was the first week of School for many Cities and every year our business slows to a crawl for a couple of weeks when this happens. Moms and Dads are getting Kiddos into the new School routine. Football, Band and other activities start up & and those expenses for Books & Clothes come in! On the Lake the fish are still biting but not many folks are fishing except on the Weekend. We had just a few Fishing Trips last week but the ones we did have were very good with LOTS of White Bass being caught.

We had both boats out on Saturday with a couple of Families that fish with us every Summer. Both have young Kiddos and they were able to squeeze in the late Summer Fishing Trip even though School had just started in their DFW area. Our morning started on the 309 Flats with almost an hour and a half of Top Water Schooling activity. Everyone caught fish as the Moms and Dads did a lot of casting and the Kiddos did a lot of reeling in! 😊 Most of these fish were caught on Lil' George Spinner Baits. After the Top Water action slowed we moved up the Chambers Arm of the Lake and found a BIG SCHOOL of White Bass on a Large Hump in about 15' feet of water. We caught fish on 1 oz. Silver Slabs for almost two hours and ended the morning cleaning 117 Keeper Fish!
Three of our five Kid Customers fell asleep on the Boat ride back to Fisherman's Point Marina. Guess we wore them out!!!

The Summer is winding down and the Labor Day Holiday is upon us! We love this time of year as it begins to cool down and the White Bass, Crappie and Catfish are all biting! We have plenty of openings in September and would love to show you a good time on Lake Richland Chambers! Check us out at www.gonefishin.biz or give us a call at 903-389-4117.

    Have a Great Day!
