Fishing Friends,


Here's hoping you're having a great Labor Day Holiday and enjoying Family & Friends! Normally this time of year we're not too busy, but this past week
I fished everyday except for one and we ended the week with both boats on the Lake on Saturday. Weather permitting, Adam and I are also both supposed to fish on Labor Day.


The fishing (and catching) continues to pretty good on the White Bass with most mornings having some early AM Top water action on the 309 Flats.
When the Top Water action slows, we move to deeper water and use 1 oz. Slabs to catch our fish. I fished for Crappie on two trips this past week and did some Catfishing on Thursday with a twosome. We caught quite a few Crappie on minnows over brush piles on Wednesday and then had a very slow bite on Thursday. Seems the Crappie are much more fickle than the Whites or Catfish and you just never know how aggressive the bite will be. We did OK on the Catfish using Punch Bait in timbered areas and this bite will only get better as we move into the cooler months!


Adam & I have Weekday openings in September and would love to get you on the Lake. We have limited Saturday & Holiday openings with the next Saturday available being October 27th. We do still have one boat open on Columbus Day, October 8th. If you're into long term planning and want to insure you get a date, we have Saturdays open in November & December and during the Thanksgiving Holidays. Every year we have to turn away business because we're booked during the Holidays so you may want to reserve a date now.
