    Central Florida's eighth annual Gumbo Wars is less than a month away. Yes. it's time once again for Gumbo Wars scheduled on October 13, 2018 at the Fish on Fire Restaurant in Orlando, Florida with the gates opening 12 noon. I hope you are hungry!

    Gumbo Wars Inc. and many of it's Orlando area community partners have set the stage for this tasty annual fundraiser featuring 25 Gumbo Teams, the Great Outdoor Toy Raffle and live auction, with all proceeds benefiting Florida youth fishing and outdoor conservation programs. This fun filled family event features gumbo teams from across the nation and is promoted and sponsored by Fishing Florida Radio, Coastal Angler Magazine Orlando, Sweetwater Brewing Company, ABC Fine Wine and Spirits, Yamaha Outboards and Titos Handmade Vodka.



    Come and enjoy some great gumbo and raise money for Florida youth fishing programs.

    This year, the Anglers for Conservation Orlando Chapter Gumbo Team is sponsored by Instant Insurance who specializes in insuring recreational boaters. If you live in the Central Florida area, please show your support for the AFC and other Orlando area youth fishing programs. For just 10.00 you can enjoy all of the gumbo you can eat for a great cause.




    2017 Winning Team was Fishing Florida Radio Show

    Currently, the Great Outdoor Toy Raffle includes kayaks, a Sweetwater Brewing SUP,Jon boat with trailer and a Big Green Egg cooker with tickets now available at Fish On Fire ($10 Each or 3 for $20). Another great raffle item this year is a Roundabout Boat with tickets going for 25.00 with only 100 tickets available. In addition, the live auction includes vacation stays, a wide assortment of fishing tackle, guided fishing charters, and outdoor artwork.

    Last year, Gumbo Wars Inc. awarded grants and scholarships to the Seminole Teen Anglers, Teen Sportsfishing Association, Anglers for Conservation, Hook Kids on Fishing Program and the Florida Outdoor Writers Association.

    Gumbo Wars Inc. is an all volunteer 501 (c) 3 Organization focusing on building a sense of community by raising funds for youth angling education and sponsoring youth angling in various fishing competitions.
