After a couple of weeks where we fished mainly for Catfish, we changed back to fishing (and catching) White Bass this past week. The weather change that brought rain and a real cool down to the air and water temperatures apparently "turned on" the White Bass and Hybrid Stripers. Adam's trip on Friday resulted in a 75 fish limit of Whites and a few nice Hybrid Stripers! Our Group Trip on Saturday turned out nice also as the eight fishermen caught lots of Whites and just a few Hybrids and we cleaned over 120 fish for their Fish Fry! Most of the fish were caught on Main Lake Points and the Pelican Island area on RSR Slabs and Jig Teasers in water depths ranging from 20' to 30'.
As mentioned, we have been Catfishing quite a bit and with good results. Catfishing will only improve as the weather continues to cool down. While we haven't Crappie fished in the past week, I have a couple of Crappie trips in the next two weeks and hope the Fall Crappie action kicks in gear!
It's a GREAT time of the year to be outdoors as the temperatures cool down, the Fall colors come into play and the fish and waterfowl make for a FUN outing! If this sounds of interest to you, give us a call and We'll Go Fishin'!
