  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

    Fishing Friends,

It's that time of the year when we can pick and choose what we want to fish for and on most days end the trip with a really nice ice chest of fish! We've fished several days over the last couple of weeks and depending on the Customer's Choice fished for White Bass, Catfish or Crappie. On some days, we conducted a Combo Trip and fished half the time for Crappie and the other half for Catfish! This can be fun and often yields enough fish for several Fish Frys! 😊

As Fall arrives, the fish will become much more aggressive and easier to find. Right now, the White Bass are scattered and can be found in numerous locations on the Lake. Best spots to check out are the 309 Flats, Pelican Island and the Windsock Point. We continue to catch most of our fish on RSR Lures with a Jig Teaser! On our Crappie Trips, were using small minnows and fishing over Brush Piles in water depths of 15'-20' feet of water. Catfishing will really get GOOD over the next few weeks & go to the EXCELLENT RATING as Winter arrives. The timber up the Richland Creek Arm of the Lake is the place to fish. Our Go To bait is Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook!

It's a GREAT time of the year to be on the Lake as the Water Fowl begins to arrive with Pelicans, Gulls, Osprey and even a few Bald Eagles showing up for the Winter. October is especially nice as the Monarch Butterflies make their way over the Lake Area. The colors are changing the fish are feeding up for the cooler months and the Lake traffic is at a low point! If this sounds of interest, give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!
