One of the wettest Octobers on record has resulted in an absolutely full Richland Chambers Lake with Spillway Gates open and more water coming our way from upstream! The Main Lake water clarity is slightly stained, the water temperature is in the 60's and even with all the fresh water, we're still conducting trips and catching fish. 😉 The Summer of 2018 is behind us and recently we've had a mixture of nice Fall days, early Winter cool morning trips and even an afternoon or two of Spring Like temperatures in the 80's. The waterfowl has shown up in large numbers in the past couple of weeks with Ducks, Pelicans, Gulls, Osprey and even a few Eagles spotted on recent fishing trips. It's a GREAT TIME of the year to be on the Lake!


Most of our recent trips have been for Catfish as the Blue and Channel Cats are showing up in their Fall/Winter locations and are biting pretty good. We're fishing timbered areas like Hickey Island and the Black Forrest and using Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook. Most fish are coming from water depths of 15'-25' Feet of Water. We will soon start fishing the Richland Creek Arm of the Lake and focus on the Crab Creek area where we've found large numbers of Catfish for the past few years. We love the cooler temperatures and so do the Catfish as the fishing just gets better and better as we move into the Winter months!


Adam and I have plenty of Weekday Openings in November and December, a few Saturdays with a boat still open and even a couple of days open during the Thanksgiving Holiday Week.
