LAKE JACKSON IS DOWN 4.98 FEET, CLEAR, 60S


Bass fishing is fair. Spotted bass are biting and there are some fish surprisingly shallow at 15 feet. Use small worms and creepy crawler style jigs on the rocks and hard clay banks mid lake. Have three baits per location, a worm, a creek crawler and a small spoon. Texas rigged Zoom finesse worms and a 3/16 ounce weight and a number one Mustad hook will be the best way to get lures to the fish in the brush. Green worms in a variety of shades will be the best way to draw these fish to the baits. Also, use a small Zoom green or black Zoom mini lizard with red flakes. Be sure to work the baits very slowly. Use the Lowrance Structure Scan technology and you can spot the bait balls up to 200 feet away. The bass will be close by. With some sun on the water mid day get out the Shad Raps.
