LAKE ALLATOONA IS DOWN 3.95, 50S, STAINED

Bass fishing in fair. It is still recovering from the recent heavy runoff. The fish are in transition to winter locations. Use the jerk baits like the Spro McStick and McStick 95 in natural shad patterns fished around bluff walls and points at the mouths of creeks is a real productive deal. Use a 6’ 6’ medium rod and 10 pound test Sunline fluorocarbon line. With the water is stained, the jerk bait bite goes away slow roll a spinnerbait or the Scrounger. Use sonar to locate balls of bait. Shad Raps in bright colors are best with the off colored waters. Bluff wall and mouths of creeks are the best areas to target.

This Lake Allatoona striper and hybrid report fishing report has been brought to you exclusively by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service, 770 827-6282 www.firstbiteguideservice.com Lake Allatoona, Georgia email: eidson6260@att.net

Line side fishing is great. November is a carbon copy of October. Like October November is the best November I have seen in years. The bite has been incredible the last two weeks. The big fish are moving back out of the rivers and into the main lake. The smaller fish are bunching up in big schools and are eating. The north end of late has been best for the bigger fish. Flat lines and down lining large gizzard shad is the ticket if you want to catch a trophy. Look for these fish from Fields Landing to Duck hole. If it's numbers you're after look for big schools of hybrids from the mouth to Kellogg’s Creek to Clark Creek on the edge of the river Channel. Seagulls are giving these fish away. Threadfin fished 18 to 30 feet deep mid day has been our better bite. This is the best fall fishing we have seen in years. It's been a very pleasant surprise for me.
