While inshore fishing with under some really windy and flooding tide situations Ben Lance and his father Mitch (both Raleigh, NC) had a blast! Why? Because they picked fishing over shopping! Captain Garrett cleaned their fish and they took them over the Flying Fish! The Fish cooked them up, served them family style, and I don’t think it can get any fresher than this! After all these fish had only been out of the water less than 3 hours!

While inshore fishing with Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charters Luke Hudgins Conyers Ga (Red) Chris Brunton Conyers Ga had fun day on the water. They are part of the special effects crew that are working with the movie Lady and the Tramp, which is being filmed here. Way to go film commission! What did they catch? Red fish, spotted sea trout, and a few whiting!

    On the freshwater side...we have

While inshore with Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charter Mickey Holbrook (guide on Lanier) took what is better known a serious busman’s holiday! Long time friend Captain Garrett showed Mickey the saltwater catching way! And I am sure when the timing is right Captain Garrett might take Mickey up on his offer to take him to do a little striped bass fishing! Now for those that want to do some saltwater inshore fishing give Miss Judy Charters, 912 897 4921, and book Captain Garrett Ross. For those of you that want to do a little fresh water fishing I highly suggest giving Mickey Holbrook owner operator of MAD GILLZ Fishing Guide Service a call. (470 262 6035) There are two things that we know for a fact ...and what is that? Our new fresh water connection is Mickey Holbrook! And I approved this message!

While inshore fishing with Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charter Chase Lopes (Florida) had a bonus catching day!

Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charters and his daughter Stella are having some great fishing fun. Stella caught this nice red fish “all on her own!” Go Stella!

Stephanie Lopez Florida is sporting that beautiful smile and Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charters is holding a nice spotted sea trout that had little something to do with it!

Well, it was officially kiss a Red Fish Day!
While inshore fishing with Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charters Chase Lopez Florida decided to join in on the festivities! Now for the burning question.... Did the fish kiss back? No kissing and telling here!

Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charters along with is daughter Stella and his inshore fishing client for the day Chase Lopes Florida took a great picture. Nice trout!

    A Honeymoon Fishing Game!
While inshore fishing with Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charters Chase and Stephanie Lopez Florida did a little fishing and enjoyed their honeymoon in famous downtown Savannah Georgia!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Mrs. Mary Happy Birthday to you!
Captain Garrett Ross of Miss Judy Charters, Mrs. Mary Rozier and her son Tyrie done oh so good! (Both from Warner Robbins) It is becoming an annual family affair. Tyrie always tries to take his mother fishing for her birthday celebration! So far so good! Now Mrs. Mary had a grand time catching some nice keeper fish. However, when she caught one too small and while it was being released, she always would say, “Now you know that fish would fit just fine in my frying pan!”

    Artificial Reefs
The artificial reefs are holding some nice spotted sea trout, black sea bass, white bone porgy, ocean perch, flounder, trophy red fish, and who knows what other kinds of fish that might bite your hook!

    A genuine family affair!

Captain Ryan Howard of Miss Judy Charter took his brother Donnie Howard, his nephew Mason age 11 (both from Raleigh, NC) and his daughter Rylee age 8 to do a little offshore artificial reef fishing.

Captain Kathy Brown of Miss Judy Charters is holding a nice gag grouper aka “Freight train pulling grouper” that goes very nicely with her red shirt! What does a big fish like this want to eat? Just about anything that will fit in its mouth! What else is Captain Kathy holding? Grouper fingers, grouper fillets, blacken grouper, grilled grouper, and I think you get the picture!

    Toot Toot goes the grouper

Here’s an interesting piece of information. Grouper not only travel in schools, but also in cadence and unison. This all boils down to not only in harmony, but also song. Most grouper have an ability to flap their jaw plates together so as to make a loud underwater musical thumbing sound. This is the sound that they make before moving from some sort of structure. My guess is that these are warning sounds of sorts. I am assuming that this is the sound that gives a big head ups to those possibly in their path that a large fish stampede is just about to take place. Or it is just the signature noise that a “freight train pulling grouper” makes right before leaving the ledge. So now this is just one more reason to call them “freight train pulling grouper!” Why? Most trains “do got a whistle!”

    Savannah Snapper Banks
For those that want to make a last stand...grouper season is open until December 31, 2018..what does that mean? The days left to legally keep grouper are winding down. So therefore, it’s time to go offshore fishing!
