LAKE GEORGE IS FULL, 50S

Bass fishing is fair. There is a shallow bite and deep bite. For the shallow bite Stanford Lures Razor Shad in Summer Craw on hydrilla flats in the 4 to 6 foot range will work. The key to this bite is letting the Aruku Shad of Razor Shad get hung up in the hydrilla and rip it out to create a reaction strike. Also, fish these same baits around any main lake rocks that have been warmed by the sun. On the days before the front gets here and while the front is in next week throw a Big Bite Baits 1/8 ounce shakey head with a green pumpkin finesse worm or a Spro black and blue finesse jig. There has also been a good flipping bite in the matted up hydrilla up the river. Use a Big Bite Baits Yomama with a 1 ounce Tru Tungsten flipping weight to punch through the mats. This time of year fish the heavy mats all day. For the deep bite rip a Fat Free Shad off the ledges to get a reaction strike from the fish suspended off the ends of the ledges. Also, look for balls of bait at the mouths of main lake creeks and jig a 1/2 ounce Hopkins spoon for these fish. The key to the deep bite is bait. If there is no bait, there will be no fish.
