Fishing Friends,


Adam and I had a normal Winter Week as far as trips go as I managed to fish Thursday & Friday and then we had both boats on the water on Saturday. The weather was pleasant for a change with mild temps in the Afternoon, a calm Lake and Bluebird Skys! All the ingredients for a nice Picnic but not a good Catfish bite. Seems the Catfish are just like most other fish as the bite is always better when you have a little wind, cloud cover and a steady or lower barometer reading. We had to fish a bit harder to get our Ice Chest of fish and really had to be ready as the bite was not real aggressive. Still, at the end of the trips we managed for everyone to go home with plenty of fish fry material! 😉


Adam and I have been starting most of our trips in the Late Morning or even Noontime to avoid the early AM cool temperatures. The last three trips were almost Springlike in the Afternoon and we peeled off the heavy jackets and gloves and enjoyed the day. Reminds us that it won't be long till Spring ! We will continue to offer our WINTER SPECIAL RATE thru February and have plenty of Weekday Openings and still a boat open on the last Saturday of the month.
