LAKE ALLATOONA IS FULL, 70S

Bass fishing is great. Number are off the charts! Size has been better than last week. Fish continue to be caught on whatever you have confidence in. Main lake points seem to be the best place to find active schools. My favorite way to catch them this week is a Zara spook and a soft plastics jerk bait and Picasso jig head. Most fish are post spawn now and schooling up. They are chasing shad in open water. The late day bite is the best right now. We are catching 30 to 40 bass a day. Definitely not the “Dead sea” right now.

Line side fishing is great. The bite this week has been very good. Fish are moving out of the rivers and can be caught in almost anywhere on lake right now, both the south end and the north end. Mid lake are all fishing extremely well this week. It is the same old song and dance, flat lines, planer boards early. Then go to the down lines and umbrella rigs after the sun comes up. Fishing doesn't get much better. Grab the kids and get out there.
