LAKE HARTWELL IS 1.34 FEET OVER FULL, CLEAR DOWN STAINED UP RIVERS, 70S

Bass fishing is fair. We have another full moon. Most of the fish are now in a full blown spawn. Look for the shore line grass and pockets with grass to hold the majority of the spawners. Look specifically for the pockets with sand and clay. For a fast shallow bite try the Strike King Rattlin 1.5 and square bill sexy shad. A Fish Head Spin and a pearl white trailer, a frog, a spinnerbait and a jig head worm are working well for these fish. As far as the main lake, the spotted bass are on every shoal marker that has sand or rock around it. Jerk baits, fluke and shaky heads are taking these fish. Look for the herring spawn to be a major factor.
