Fishing Friends,
This past weekbegan with Adam and I cancelling our Monday Fishing Trips due to a strong NorthWind howling at 25 MPH and ended on Saturday with us cancelling outSaturday Trips due to an even stronger South Wind gusting at 30 MPH. RichlandChambers Lake is not a place to be when you have winds from any direction thatare blowing in excess of 20 MPH. Some folks that have made the trip to the Lakeand find these conditions try and brave the elements and soon find outthat this is not a good idea. Usually they are quickly back at the Marina withclothes soaked and a harrowing story about waves the size of those found in theGulf. Better to be safe than sorry and 25 years of fishing on 45,000 acre RChave made us always err on the side of SAFETY!
Fishing for WhiteBass has continued to be good in June with most trips resulting in limits (25fish per fisherman) or a box full of these tasty fish! We're still having tomake a long trip up the Richland and/or Chambers Creeks to find our fish onPoints, Humps & Ridges in 10'-15' feet of water. Soon we will be fishingmore on the Main Lake as the Summertime Top Water action kicks in gear. Thewater temps (80 degrees plus) are just about at the right temperature to getthis action kicked in gear. The Top Water schooling only gets better in July& August! While we're catching all our fish now on 1 oz. Silver orChartruese Slabs, we will be adding Tiny Torpedoes and Lil' Georges to ourarsenal when the Top Water action begins.
We have July andAugust openings and would love to show you a good time on RC! Check us out onour webpage @ www.gonefishin.biz and give us a call and We'll GoFishin'!
