LAKE RUSSELL IS DOWN .48 FEET, CLEAR, 80S


Bass fishing is good. Down lake near the dam in the early on the main lake points look good top water action as the blue back herring move up to feed. Sandy banks and pockets will be good areas. Look for them on main lake flats and points too. Use crank baits at various depths like the Rapala DT series and the Thunders had crank baits. Carolina rigging a trick worm fished slowly will work. Try a shaky head with a floating Robo worm in green pumpkin and a trick worm. Zara Spooks and Pop R’s will get the top water action going mid day. Have a Zoom Super Fluke ready to work around the points.
